Teaching procedures:
Part I Pre-reading
Step1 Free-talk
Three pictures of famous books (Alice in Wonderland; Snow White; Cinderella)
Ask the students: Are you interested in reading stories? Why do you like them?
Step2 Listen and choose
Listen to a short video about the background information of the article and read it quickly to choose the best answer

Teaching ideas: Free-talk leads the students to today’s topic. Besides, I introduce some background information in order to make the students have a general idea of the article.

Teaching ideas: In Step1 I ask students to read paragraphs one by one silently. Then I design different tasks for them on one hand to help them understand the article, on the other hand to develop the students’ thinking abilities and inspire their interests in this class. In Step2 I give them some key words to help them retell the article easily. Meanwhile, it will make them have a deep understanding of the article.
